Chronocam names imaging and vision chip veteran Jaffard as strategic advisor

 

Long-time ST Microelectronics executive to help guide Paris start-up in quest to commercialize first bio-inspired approach to computer vision

 

PARIS – 19 January, 2016 – Chronocam, a Paris-based developer of biologically-inspired vision sensors and systems for computer vision and IoT applications, today announced that veteran semiconductor executive and noted expert on the imaging industry Jean-Luc Jaffard has been named a strategic advisor to the company. Jaffard brings more than 30 years’ experience in the chip industry, including a lengthy career developing the imaging business at ST Microelectronics. His role will be to work with the Chronocam executive team and board of directors to define and implement technical and business strategies that leverage Chronocam’s proprietary self-adapting approach to improving speed, dynamic range and power efficiency for vision-enabled applications.
