Prophesee highlighted in French parliamentary report on AI alignment and embedded AI
Prophesee’s Event-Based Vision is cited as an example of energy-efficient, privacy-conscious sensing for embedded AI systems.
PARIS, July 29, 2026 – A new parliamentary report on the alignment of artificial intelligence systems, led by French Senator Vanina Paoli-Gagin, highlights Prophesee and Event-Based Vision in a section dedicated to embedded AI, privacy and energy frugality.

Addressed to the French Prime Minister, the report examines how France and Europe can strengthen their approach to AI alignment across technical, ethical and systemic dimensions, including robustness, control of critical dependencies and technological resilience. It sets out 40 recommendations and identifies embedded AI and physical AI as areas where Europe can build differentiated expertise.
Within a section dedicated to embedded AI, privacy and frugality, the report points to event-based vision sensors as an example of an alternative sensing architecture. By responding to changes in a scene rather than continuously producing conventional image frames, the technology can support high responsiveness, lower data and energy requirements, and privacy by design.
The report specifically cites Prophesee as a French company that has industrialized Event-Based Vision sensors at scale, and links the consolidation of companies such as Prophesee to Europe’s ability to influence future standards for embedded AI and critical perception technologies.
Prophesee was also among the technology companies consulted as part of the parliamentary mission, represented by Jean Ferré, Lorraine Le Louarn and Gautier Lagarde.
